GitHub announced three settings for automatic model selection. They change how auto weighs cost, response time, and quality for each prompt.

What to know

• The rollout covers VS Code, Copilot CLI, and the GitHub Copilot app.
• Usage is still billed according to the model selected. A tier is not a fixed-price or free-usage promise.
